Terms of Service

1. About unIQ

unIQ is a homeschool planning app that helps families organize their learning week. The app is provided by unIQ, based in the Netherlands.

2. Free and Pro tiers

unIQ offers a Free tier and a Pro tier:

  • Free: includes manual planning, child profiles, feedback, recovery blocks, household sharing, and all core features. Free forever.
  • Pro: adds auto-scheduling, curriculum pacing, progress insights, overload warnings, and export features. Available as a monthly (€4.99) or yearly (€39.99) subscription.

3. Subscriptions

Pro subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. Key terms:

  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings (Settings > your name > Subscriptions)
  • A 14-day free trial is available for new Pro subscribers
  • If you cancel, you keep Pro access until the end of your billing period
  • Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy

4. Your data

All data you enter into unIQ belongs to you. We store it to provide the service. You can export or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. What unIQ is not

unIQ is a planning and reflection tool. It is not:

  • Educational advice or assessment
  • A replacement for professional educational, psychological, or medical guidance
  • A curriculum provider
  • An official educational record or transcript

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use unIQ for its intended purpose: planning and managing your family's homeschool schedule. You may not use the app in ways that harm other users, attempt to access other households' data, or reverse-engineer the app.

7. Updates

We may update the app and these terms from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Limitation of liability

unIQ is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep it reliable and available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any educational outcomes or decisions made based on the app's suggestions.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands and the European Union. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
